Write and check a prompt
State the task, useful context, constraints, and a way to check the result.
Learning goal
- State the task, useful context, constraints, and a way to check the result.
A prompt is input that guides a model. Compare “Explain fractions” with “For a beginner, explain one half using a pizza example, then ask me one question without giving its answer.” The second request specifies an audience, an example, and a learning activity.
A closer look
A role can guide tone, but does not grant expertise or guarantee compliance. Ask for sources when needed and verify that they support the claim. Compare two prompts on the same examples. Share only necessary information; a clearer prompt can help, but cannot remove every model limitation.
Explain it yourself
Does “You are an expert” make an answer reliable?
Compare with an explanation
No. It can guide the style; evidence and testing are still needed.
You mark this yourself. Nothing is graded here.
