Nvidia's revenue more than doubles to $96.2 billion as AI data centers expand
On August 26, 2026, Nvidia, a leading maker of the chips used to build and run AI, reported results for the three months that ended July 26. Revenue reached $96.2 billion, up 106% from a year earlier and 18% from the previous quarter.
Most of that money came from Nvidia's data center business, which sells powerful processors and systems for AI work. That segment earned $89.0 billion, up 117% year over year. Nvidia expects revenue of about $108 billion in the current quarter.
The company said its newest platform, Vera Rubin, is ramping into full production, with racks already running at cloud providers including CoreWeave, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. It also introduced Vera, a central processor (CPU) that Nvidia describes as the first built for AI agents, which are programs that can carry out multi-step tasks on their own.
Why it matters: Every chatbot reply runs on hardware like this, so Nvidia's sales are one of the clearest signs of how quickly companies are building AI services.
